My destiny — my heart and my soul — above all else in this life belongs to Vodou and Palo Mayombe, the Rule of the Congo.
In a very real way, I experienced what could only be described as a head-on collision with these Afro-Caribbean traditions at birth.
Long before my beautiful birth mother ever told me the details of my arrival into this world, various spiritual readers and initiates of Vodou and Palo Mayombe had already keyed into the same thread. They spoke of an incident at my birth — a moment in which I was pulled back into that liminal space between the living and the dead.
When I returned, I carried something extra.
But as with all transactions that truly matter, something must be left behind in exchange.
My early life was marked by a series of encounters — seemingly chance, yet too precise to be coincidence — with Vodou and Palo Mayombe. These encounters lingered, reshaped memory, and either altered or corrected my trajectory. I am still not entirely certain which. They led me down dark highways and through lonely backstreets of reality that few dared walk beside me — and I cannot say I blame them.
In time, those paths culminated in my initiations into the priesthood of both traditions.
Few things are as profound and life-affirming as serving the Loa — the spirits of Vodou, individual mysteries of the Divine — or as ecstatic and soul-cleansing as sitting before my M’paka, the eye of a Congo power. It is animated by a familiar spirit of the human dead — my Nfumbe — bound to me through blood covenant, one I call brother.
Such moments surpass ordinary consciousness. They expand and reshape reality into something worthy of reverence and transcendence.
Vodou and Palo Mayombe reveal the secrets of sound, vibration, and spirit animating flesh. Once these principles are understood, one begins to grasp the mechanics of influence — not as domination, but as participation in the current of power itself.
In that current, one does not become God with a capital “G.”
But one may exercise the responsibilities and privileges of divinity with a small “g” — still sacred, still accountable, still aligned with the greater Mystery.

After spending my formative years chasing the shadow of the mysterious Carlos Castaneda and the even more elusive Don Juan Matus—and later, their ghosts—I was finally brought into a legitimate Toltec warrior tradition in 2018, one with strong Aztec and Apache occult foundations. This initiation came after I proved myself through a heroic act: the rescue of Carlos Castaneda’s soul, which I was shown to be imprisoned by so-called inorganic beings in an act of posthumous revenge.
I was formally introduced to the Four Winds School of the Eagle/Vulture, Jaguar, Anaconda, and Hummingbird, and for a time was welcomed into the Order of the Dead Dog. During this period, I achieved the rank of Shadow Wolf, received the Saguaro Cactus, Scorpion, and Thunderbird as guardian and teacher spirits, and was ultimately given the title Don Gila Monster.
In 2021, it was determined that my time with the Four Winds School had reached its natural conclusion. I had learned what I was meant to learn. While I am barred from passing on the ranks and titles of the Order of the Dead Dog, I remain on good terms with the Brotherhood. More importantly, I was granted permission to form a new warrior branch with the guidance of my guardian and teacher spirits.
That branch is known as the Dream Warriors.

From 2007 to 2009, I served as the bodyguard to the Venerable Buddhist monk Subhuti Shibuya Sensei — a traveling, meditating ascetic whose teachings were rooted, above all else, in the discipline of meditation.
In our long conversations, he revealed that we had shared many past lifetimes together. In each, he had been my teacher, and I his rebellious student — one who would come to the foot of the Buddha, but no further.
This lifetime, he said, would be no different.
There was, however, one change: the reason for my refusal to go all-in to Buddhism would finally be revealed.
Sensei and I both dreamed of walking through narrow, rocky corridors — stumbling over loose stones, tracing a thick smear of blood along the walls, left by desperate, bleeding hands. In the dream I was a child; he, my elder. We followed that blood trail to an ancient and forbidden place.
Somewhere near the border of Nepal and India, hidden from maps and history, there exists — or once existed — a secret location. There, grotesque primeval beings were secured with massive chains of gold to a vast table of blackened iron.
At that table, initiates of a hidden sect practiced what they called “radical compassion.” They fed these beings with their own blood and carefully excised pieces of flesh. In doing so, the appetites of those horrors were temporarily satisfied, and the malignant influence they exerted upon humanity would, for a time, recede.
I was the youngest ever brought before that table.
Each of the chained entities told me they would remember my taste forever.
In that moment, my soul was deeply injured. Across lifetimes, I carried a resentment — a mistrust of Buddhism that festered like an unseen wound. It calcified into something almost physical, an ectoplasmic residue clinging to my being.
In this present incarnation, I was finally able to confront that trauma. In a visceral moment of reckoning, I expelled the resentment that had haunted me for ages.
Subhuti Shibuya Sensei promised that in this life I would find the preparations necessary to embrace Buddhism fully in the next.
His promise appears to have been kept.
I later discovered an exceptionally small and hidden Tantric lineage — one that acknowledges the Black Table and preserves the mystery of constructing and contacting the Vimana. This lineage allows the practice of “radical compassion” and the eradication of evil through methods that are powerful — and deeply problematic to the casual or Western-minded Buddhist.
I do not consider myself a Buddhist. It is unlikely that I will pass these methods to anyone in this lifetime.
But I remain an ardent practitioner of this path — and a fearsome devotee of what I have come to know as the Black Sect.
